How dentures work
There are three types of dentures to choose from: a conventional full denture, an immediate full denture, or a partial denture. Each is custom-made at our dental office using impressions taken of your mouth. Dr. Claggett and the rest of our team will work with you in finding the right type.
Let’s consider full dentures for a moment. First, a flesh-colored acrylic base fits over your gums. Keep in mind that the base of the upper denture covers the roof of your mouth, while the base of the lower denture is shaped like a horseshoe.
How long dentures should last
